Hi all

got a dilema. Lakes or scotland this weekend?

Will there be much left in the lakes? taking novices so not too crucial if its only gullies in. Though it wants to be good.

any thoughts

obviously lakes is cheaper and closer, but scotland is better etc.

The most obvious one is: which bit of Scotland are you talking about?

In reply to RM199: was thinking of glen Coe or the norries if Scotland, as the ben and meggy are two serious for my novices.

Other than that the big question is will there be much left in the lakes or not???

Up on Great End via Skew Ghyll yesterday: loads of fallen ice around and not a few rocks lying on the surface. Ice very fragile and delicate. We had fun but I wouldn't advise it , especially with beginners!

Scotland!
