e.g. could a exped 7 downmat be used inside one and still have enough room to loft a down bag?

In reply to andrew breckill: I haven't used mine with a inflatable mat or a down bag but with my ridgerest and a 3 season synthetic bag there was tons of room. I have a small build but could lie on my side without feeling compressed.

In reply to Cameron94: sounds promising, although I am not a slight build at the moment, I'll take a punt then as good old rock and run are banging them out at under £80 at the mo.

Unfortunately not in my experience. But go try it out in a shop, if they don't mind.

In reply to andrew breckill: To give some scale I'm a small in most clothing. I'll hopefully be using mine on Saturday unfortunately minus the down bag.

As said if you can go and try it out.

Well I wimped out and bought the wild country 1 man hoop tent, after trying my emergency bivi in the garden I realised I am not quite ready to sacrifice all creature comforts.
