Crag Climbs in Chamonix by Burnier and Potard. In english, published by Vamos in 2001. A well-respected colour topo guide covering all the main crags in the Chamonix valley. In good condition with no marks or damaged pages. £6.

Cascades autour du Mont Blanc - Tome 1 et 2 - Damilano et Perroux. In French, published by editions Ice Connections in 1998. This is a comprehensive guide to the waterfall ice climbs in the valleys around Mont Blanc: Vol 1 covers Chamonix valley, Trient valley and L'eau Noire valley. Vol 2 covers Val de cogne and Valdigne. Each book is small and easily carried, it includes approaches, route descriptions, topos and photographs (colour and bw). Overall very good condition (vol 2 has a few minor scuffs to the cover). £10 for the 2 volumes.

Swiss Rock: Granite Bregaglia (selected rock climbs). In english by Chris Mellor in 2000. This book is a great introduction to the Bregaglia area (Badile, Cengallo, Gemelli, Sciora, Albigna), with information on local amenities, accommodation with 14 maps to help find the climbing areas. It includes a useful glossary to aid deciphering Italian, German or Swiss maps.
The main draw of this guide, however, is its detailed descriptions of each climbing area. The book has 67 topos, lots of photos, and details of individual route access, descent, average time taken, and suggestions for gear if a particular placement is necessary. Excellent condition. £10.

Bernese Oberland - Alpine Club Guide Book - Les Swindin - 2003. Describes over 200 routes on over 100 peaks and passes in the region including high mountain routes on major peaks such as the Eiger as well as on many less well-known summits and in places such as the Grimsel Pass, Leysin, Engelhorner, Salbitschijen and Argentine. Descriptions of some of the finest granite ridge and face climbs in the Alps. 368 pages 155x110mm plastic covers. Excellent, as new, condition. £10

Penine Alps East - Alpine Club Guide Book - Robin Collomb - 1975. Covers mountain routes in the Saas and Mischabel chains starting from various valley bases including Saas and Zermatt. Very good condition, no marks. £8.

Penine Alps Central - Alpine Club Guide Book - Robin Collomb - 1975. Covers mountain routes in the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa, Dent Blanche and Weisshorn chains. In good condition (but with current owners name stamped on 2 inner pages). £5.
