I've done a lot of this sort of thing in the past, routes on the Mirroir d'Argentine, Ailefroide, Handegg etc. However, I have a hankering to go back and do some more and not necessarily slabs!

Please let me have your favourites and some ideas. Thanks.

Any particularly good areas to get used to it?

I'd been thinking more Swiss/French but hey. Comfort zone and all that...

In reply to Skyfall: I haven't visited yet but what about the Dent D'Orlu in the Pyranees, sorry it looks like slabs again. I have Salbit and the val De Mello on mt list of Alpine rock in need of a lotto win as well.

I agree with the Salbit suggestion - really excellent.

What do you regard as "easy/mid grade"?

The Dolomites is probably the prime choice for easy-but-steepish; vertical IVs & Vs tend to be rartiy elsewhere
