Heading up to Skye next week, and interested to know what conditions are like up there - have any locals got any info?

The original plan for this trip was scrambling and rock climbing, but it looks like crampons & axes are likely to be needed instead...

Last day I was out was Saturday but winter had made a full return with fresh snow being added to the already quite substantial snow patches.

In reply to MariaDixon1: Crampons and axes are a definite. Plenty of snow on the hills with a cold easterly wind that's moving things around. Even rock climbing at Elgol will be cold.
