Tops hard, icy and scoured, wind making progress very difficult. Lee slopes full of powder and rocks.

Not a great experience.........

In reply to Tim Davies: Around Moel Cynghorion is pretty similar very little snow apart from in the drifts on the paths/behind walls, scoured icy ground and pretty solid windslab in the patches where there is snow.

Also not a great experience........

In reply to torquil: There are some relatively narrow slopes above the Marchlyn reservoir below Carnedd y Filiast and Mynydd Perfedd that are holding the snow. Only 100-200m long though... Spring snow.

The Marchlyn road is not skiable and quite icy though.

Only seems to be getting worse! I was out this morning above Rachub and it was more scoured than yesterday. The best/only snow was held in the paths or the leeward side of Gyrn (in between Wnion and Faban) but was pretty short.

Looking up towards Drosgl and Carnedd Uchaf it wasn't much better but you could probably pick a line down from the top without encountering too much ice if you needed too.

In reply to ChalkBall: some brilliant looking shallow gullylines in the Pass that look like they have good accumulations. Parsley fern had a cornice. Gonna check them out tomorrow if not too icy.
