Without wishing to hijack your thread did the chairman of the rescue team really make the comments attributed to him?
He did make those comments, but they were before that accident, in a press release which was warning about the conditions in general, not in response to that incident. They have been used out of context.

I thought it was unusual for MRT to criticise the people that they were called out to.
Just goes to show the importance of context!
And treating press reports with a degree of suspicion.
