Hi, i use the the contour/ colltex skin wax, it seems to work quite well as in when i've used it even in wet snow, it stops the build up of snow. You can use universal ski wax ( the white one) and iron it in, that works aswell.

In reply to blurty: A candle works fine. I carry a tea candle on longer trips as a dual purpose lighting and skin de-glopper.

That's what I've always used!

I was interested to see Nikwax have (recently?) started making a dedicated product.

Knowing Nikwax it will either be dubbin, or PVA.

PVA in this case I expect!
