Looking at organising a trip over this way later in the year, what i've seen of the place looks amazing, plus has the added bonus that it shouldn't be to hard to get to Greece for a few afterwards.

Has anyone been over to Prilep or anywhere near by before?

Wondering about transport links, times of year to avoid, recommended accommodation etc. Aso any pointers of other towns areas worth check out while we are there would be great.

In reply to Steve nevers: Just been having a look and it seems the one of the wettest parts of the year is coming up, April til June, then its dryer up until mid/end september. Theres a big music/culture festival there in July from what i can see, so prices for accommodation might be higher around then.
The surrounding area looks lush for hill walking too, landscapes rather pretty in its own way.
Also its 126Km from Skopje (The capital) which apparently has some good climbing too, so if anyone knows of any good spots along the road between the two would be nice!
