/ Legs struggling to catch up, surely can't be over training?
How long have you had this sort of regime?

First week back on it but on and off for a few years, usually my body responds better, must be getting old.
Rest is when your body gains strength by repairing the muscle fibre damage you've done while training. Take three or four days off. Seriously!
As you get older you recover more slowly from the damage caused by training.
