Going camping in the Alps for a week in summer, can someone recommend me a good 1-2 man tent. Needs to be reasonably lightweight, not too expensive and easy to pitch! Thanks.

Marmot Grid...a bobby-dazzler, but may be a tad heavy for Alps if back packing low level.

In reply to moneykat: What's your budget?

Terra Nova Voyager would meet your needs, but maybe not your budget. It's so good Marmot copied the design ;)

In reply to moneykat: Force ten nitrolite 200(or 200+if you want a bigger porch). I have the 200 and its superbly light, pitches in about 3 minutes with a bit of practice. Pretty roomy for a one man, reasonable size for a 2 man.

In reply to kjw1991: NF Tadpole2? 200ish. Used in Bernina last summer for a 3 day stay in the mountains and in the valley in Cham for a week in Sept.

I would recommend the voyager as well. Light and strong so you could carry it into the mountains or good enough for roadside camps. Have used one for years...most of these are the voyager ...http://www.pbase.com/briansolar1/wild_camps
