Hi All,

A few weeks back I went to Tremadog, and blindly stumbled upon the E1, Leg Slip, near the top I traversed to the top half of First Slip.

Belayed at the bottom of the chimney, climbed 2/3 up the chimney turned right off Leg slip onto a slab. Placed one Size 1 Nut and clipped a rusty peg, then tech moves to the tree (top of First Slip).

Is there a specific route for this line?(I presume so as there were pegs placed).

Here's a pic of the route taken http://postimg.org/image/5h16o1co1/

Cheers,

Tim

In reply to TJ1993:

The peg was probably on leg break finish which climbs straight up between the slip routes however your route is often done to avoid the crux of leg slip.

If you look at the photo diagram on page 199 of the current CC guide you'll see that it's Leg Break finish. (not to be confused with the other Leg Break on Shadrach wall). Instead of escaping off right as you did it goes up through the overhang. It was climbed originally by Ed Ward Drummond in 1968 without the pegs. The pegs were added a few years ago by a local O.P instructor, mistakenly thinking it was a new line.
