With the sad news of Robert Saunders death last year does anyone know if saunders Tents are still in business?

In reply to Richard Smith:
No, they ceased trading a few years ago

In reply to Toreador:

My first tent bought in the late 70's was a Robert Saunders, had a single pole in the middle. Incredibly stable when compared to things available today.

I then bought an Ultimate Tramp, as it had the innovative A pole system and I still use it , more than 33 years on !

In reply to Pyreneenemec:

My first tent was a Saunders Backpacker GC2. One small rear pole and two larger front poles to give you width and headroom at the front.

Me too. I think the previous Mrs Ridge took it :-(

In reply to Ridge: I own but don't use anymore a Base Camp, good tent with good storage; I must get it out and use it again.
