In reply to Frank the Husky: Don't think you can camp there (though it's a great pub). You can however camp just 50m down the road in Darracott, at a farm the name of which escapes me. Basic site but great location.

I also recommend the Old Smithy, i was a regular for years and worked there. The landlord does own a field near by, where i lived in a camper van one summer, however that was when the old landlord was in charge (good friend of mine). I think it may be worth having a word with the new landlord re camping for the weekend.
I also lived on the campsite in Darracott one summer, it is basic but again i would recommend it.
