I was looking to buy a few carabiners to make up some slingdraws. However it seems cheaper to buy quickdraws and discard the dogbones than buy two carabiners separately - seems a bit stupid?

If anyone could point me towards some good carabiner deals then let me know. Thanks

You're right. But don't fight it, just get some quickdraws and separate them. You get matched pairs of carabiners with different coloured ends, just what you need. It's what I did

both BD and petzl are releasing new versions of old favourites this summer, so packs of 6 of the previous versions may be cheap on the shelves (they are where i am, works out getting 1.5 krabs free).

same with the dog bones by petzl. the 'old' yellow/grey ones are being replaced.
