Every year I get out and try to capture a shot of bluebells in my local woods (Eccleshall Woods). I've not yet managed to get a shot that I'm completely happy with, and thought I would ask if anyone knows of any other great spots.
Ideally it would allow in evening sun, and have a full carpet of bluebells. Feel free to email me the details if its a more secret spot!

The area round Shillito wood is usually pretty good for bluebells. Down the hill from the car park

I haven't been down there this year, but there are often lots of bluebells in the hollow between Strines and Dale Dike reservoirs:

Nice smell of wild garlic too, plus you can pretend to be Oliver Reed in Women in Love.

In reply to 1234None: When I was a kid it was Bodenhomestead woods, but I doubt they still exist. The woods by the top lake at Chatsworth, I forget is name, used to be pretty spectacular.

In reply to winhill: (and ebygomm) Bunny wood towards Loughborough on the A60 is currently phenomenal. I'm told Ploughman Wood near the prison at Lowdham is also pretty special

How's it been going? Did you find what you were looking for?

While wheezing my way around a little run today, I happened to notice there are still quite a few bluebells down by the river above the upper Rivelin Dam here:

Very pretty down there at the moment.
