Hello,
Am off across to Arran next week and want to take my girlfriend on the A Chir ridge. I feel she will be okay on it as she has some rock climbing experience. I want to take a rope to cover any abseiling eventualities. Thing is do I take a full length twin rope or can I get away with 30m 9mm rope ?
What do you people think is most practical ?
From memory the biggest obstacle heading north is a short abseil on the east side to an exposed ramp. Ab to this and rope down is fine with a 30m rope.
