Hi folks,
anyone else like the odd bit of piano music? If you do, you'll enjoy this:

Any recommendations for pieces of a similar nature?
In reply to Denni:

In reply to Denni: Love Einaudi. Try Erik satie - gymnopedie no. 1, no. 2 & no. 3.
In reply to Denni: Yep, saw him live in concert in Nottingham a few weeks back. It was a beautiful thing. =o)

Spooky. I downloaded some of his sheet music yesterday. It's technically very simple but there's a huge emphasis on its expression and dynamic. Gorgeous to play and a very talented man

In reply to Denni: Obviously I'm missing something, as Einaudi's pieces sound to me like piano-accompanied pop songs from which the vocal line has been omitted.

On the other hand I really like Arvo Pärt whose music appears very simple:

I have two or three CDs of Einaudi and I just don't get it. It seems devoid of character or soul. And I say this as a Philip Glass fan!

Is that just another cheap reply to keep your position in the 'posters league table' ?

In reply to Denni: At first I liked Einaudi but then I found some of it a bit repetitive so I don't play him much now, a lot of his stuff has been used in recent television programmes.
Helen Jane Long Embers Album is very like Einaudi and worth a listen at times

The Piano guys are worth a listen and their pieces are quite well done if you like a mix of classical and pop
