Summer is here and I could do with my own bouldering mat.
Any good deals about?
130 - 140 max really.

You might need to forego an extra pint or two, but it'd get you one of the DMM Highballs:

Whats the BD drop zone like?
I like the idea of the mesh so I can shove everything in it and not carry an extra bag.

In reply to fire_munki: if you like the idea of not having to take an extra bag take a look at the Alpkit Project, I've heard BD mats deflate pretty wuickly so personally I'd avoid them.

I do like the alpkit, any other suggestions before I spend all my money?

Dropzone gets awful reviews on pretty much all of the gear sites. I have a highball myself and it's been great - and I've seen many others using one as well. Though it is quite big.

but then if I fall I want something big, I've got one too :-)

Are Ocun pads any good, the barn near me has one in for 140ish and I really need to drive there to get my glasses back!

Bad wording on my part, I simply meant that it's not the smallest mat in the world and it can be difficult to get into some cars/boots etc!
