In reply to steelbru:

Does anyone know where the start and finish points are for this? Surely not Glen Brittle to Sligachan?
NMN - on 17 Jun 2013
In reply to Eric9Points:

Start Gars-bhienn and finish Sgurr nan Gillean.
punj - on 17 Jun 2013
In reply to Eric9Points:
it will be Gars Bheinn to Gillean
from my understanding the route for a record attempt also includes Sgurr Dubh Mor

Steve Perry - on 17 Jun 2013

Fantastic effort Finlay! Well done indeed. Very impressed.
IainRUK - on 17 Jun 2013
In reply to Graham Briffett: http://gomountaingoats.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/cuillin-ridge-record.html

Brilliant honesty.. he did it in 3:10 last week.. but then "omitted to touch the summit cairn of Sgurr Mhic Choinnich, despite passing 10 metres from it.."

I've done that and still have yet to claim it again I think..

So he re-did it in 3:14..
petestack - on 17 Jun 2013
In reply to IainRUK:

Totally agreed, Iain... he's effectively done 3:10 and we *have* to give both times in the SHR 'long distance' page update! :-)

Astonishing time. Just goes to show what elite hill runners can do with technical climbing ability. Amazing effort Finlay!

In reply to steelbru:

Absolutely fantastic achievement, especially the willpower to get up there a week after such a disappointment, and terrific modesty in the blog.
