Does anyone know where the start and finish points are for this? Surely not Glen Brittle to Sligachan?
 NMN 17 Jun 2013
In reply to Removed User:

Start Gars-bhienn and finish Sgurr nan Gillean.
 Gawyllie 17 Jun 2013
In reply to Removed User:
it will be Gars Bheinn to Gillean
from my understanding the route for a record attempt also includes Sgurr Dubh Mor

In reply to GraB: http://gomountaingoats.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/cuillin-ridge-record.html

Brilliant honesty.. he did it in 3:10 last week.. but then "omitted to touch the summit cairn of Sgurr Mhic Choinnich, despite passing 10 metres from it.."

I've done that and still have yet to claim it again I think..

So he re-did it in 3:14..

In reply to IainRUK:

Totally agreed, Iain... he's effectively done 3:10 and we *have* to give both times in the SHR 'long distance' page update!
In reply to steelbru: Amazing! Interview with Finlay to follow later...

 Trangia 18 Jun 2013
In reply to steelbru:

Amazing, and it's 10% of the time it took me (including the time spent on an overnight bivy)!

In reply to Trangia:

Astonishing time. Just goes to show what elite hill runners can do with technical climbing ability. Amazing effort Finlay!
In reply to steelbru: Is the IP a requirement too?
 Solaris 18 Jun 2013
In reply to steelbru:

Absolutely fantastic achievement, especially the willpower to get up there a week after such a disappointment, and terrific modesty in the blog.
