Hi All - just driven past and see that Miller Homes are building flats - access to the Quarry still OK?

In reply to Bluebird: Portishead Quarry, also known as Old Black Rock Quarry, is owned by the Avon Wildlife Trust. They bought it in 2000 with funding from the Lottery Heritage Fund among others so I'd be amazed if there is housing development planned. If anyone has any other information please let me know.

In reply to Ian Butterworth: if recycling place is on the right as you go up, Quarry is just on your left? if so, there is new building work going on and I can see the quarry walls on the LHS behind it.

Thats Black rock quarry you are talking about. A new police training camp is being built.
