I am not too experienced at this lark, just starting reds if skiing analogies can be employed. I am planning to go to Chamonix for 3 weeks in August having done some stuff there with UCPA last year. Ultimately, I want to try to do the big one via Gouter.
I am going to do some stuff with the UCPA. They are excellent and cheap, but some of the french folk can be odd. IF anyone is interested you can join me on this. The Haute Route Cham -> Zermatt costs under 1000 Euros with UCPA, well cheap.
I have no real fixed dated but want to try Mont Blanc with a guide. It is not hard. Places in Gouter can be reserved a month in advance. I reckon a guide will cost 300 euros if costs are split three ways and the gouter 80 euros, you have to pay for the guide.
