/ Which guidebook for valley cragging around Saas Fee?
'Plaisir West' by Jurg Von Kanel covers (easyish) sport routes in the Valais - and a few in Cham also.
Published by Fildor.
Actually, published by Filidor (not Fildor).
I saw that one but it says it only covers sport routes up to 6b(french) which seems a little odd. I was hoping for some harder stuff too.
There's an 'Extrem' version too. However, the current one 'Extrem, Band 1' doesn't have anything up in Saas. There nearest crags in it are around Brig - Bitschi and Brigerbad, and around the Simplon - Simplon Pass and Simplon Dorf. If you get a chance to go to Simplon Dorf, then do go, it's fantastic.
Wow, you're right its not cheap...welcome to Switzerland!
Do you have a copy? I'm assuming its amazing at that price.
