In reply to andymac: from Wikipedia

"Songs written by Cale that have been covered by other musicians include "After Midnight" and "Cocaine" by Eric Clapton..."

Cheers .

Hat further doffed to Mr Cale.

Heard Cale`s version of After Midnight on a film sountrack a few years back ,and thought WOW.

Bought one of his albums as a result.

Film was the strangely named ,but good, 'A room for Romeo Brass'

I'll miss his music. From the first time I ever heard it, I always loved his style.

after midnight is easily my favourite song of his. Listened to on repeat through a very interesting period of my life. The song and the moments are linked forever now in my mind. A true talent.
