Has anyone climbed on either of the venues mentioned in the title in the last couple of days? I'm heading up on Wednesday this week and am hoping one of them might be dry. Any info would be gratefully received.

Or pretty open minded about getting on some mountain trad, any suggestions? Forecast isn't great.

Thanks.

Col.

In reply to Col Kingshott:

I've just come back after three weeks offshore so don't know recent history, but can tell you there have been some pretty heavy showers today near Aviemore, and the tops were in cloud most of the day.

Similar forecast for tomorrow.

Cheers,

Lex

In reply to Col Kingshott:

Haven't looked at the forecast yet, but Rannoch Wall tends to be much less prone to drainage and quicker-drying than Hell's Lum, especially if it gets the morning sun.

In reply to Col Kingshott: Hell's Lum was looking fairly damp on Saturday, viewed from Stag rocks

In reply to doz: Hell's Lum was dryish at 12 noon Saturday but had become decidedly damp by 5pm and it much colder than of late, so only steep bits away from drainage will be drying effectively.

In reply to andrew ogilvie: Thank you for the replies. Hopefully get some dry weather and rock wherever we end up going.

Regards.

Col.
