/ Rochefort - Grand Jorasses traverse

Just to let folks know that the above is well tracked, two teams heading to the Canzio on Wednesday 14th, and what looked like a big track up (and down) the GJ from what we could see from the Dome de Rochefort. The ridge from the Geant to the Aiguille de Rochefort was in great condition on 14th, can't see it changing much unless it gets really hot in the next few days. And the Torino hut has had a massive makeover courtesy of the new guardian and team - a far nicer place to stay than in previous years.....

Agreed. Armando Chanoine and his people are doing once again a great job, incidentally confirming a couple of my prejudices on how mountain huts must be run! :)

Yes, it was a delight to finally be greeted with a smile a couple of weeks ago. Now if only they would do something about the food, it could actually make the place worthy of an Italian hut.
