Meije traverse

Does anyone know if the traverse of the Meije is in any other guide book than the A.C. guide? Is that a useable description? Has anyone got any beta for doing it?

In reply to Si: description not needed. Route finding straight forward. Only watch-out is last two abs, off the grand gendarme and then find the ab off the ridge north over the rimaye. anchor is some way below the ridge. Long ropes or a stake can be useful.Done it twice,need to be fast on easy ground.

In reply to Si: Winter room is open- may need a stove to melt snow. To be replaced with a new hut. The locals do the route & descent in a day!
