So. Obviously ones to watch in the future but have either of them got what it takes to win the TDF?

Tj might get there, but his climbing needs to come on a lot. Talansky i've not really noticed in the same way.

TJ just won the USA Pro Challenge in Colorado which has some altitude and climbs so its possible he was just a little off form in this years TDF.

I think Talansky has some way to go but will be someone to look out for in the future.

Picking future Tour winners is a mugs game. Cycling is littered with promising individuals that failed to live up not to mention winners that burst onto the scene seemingly from nowhere.

But it's fun to speculate of course.

Yes, the reason for this particular speculation is that the comentators on the NBC channel which showed the Pro Challenge were focussing in on this, particularly Van Garderen. I think he is only 25 so has some time to work on things and Talansky is about the same age.
