Apologies if somebody has already raised this.
Was at horsehoe quarry tonight and got to the top of "O Brother Where Art Thou?" to find that the anchor (a chain) was being held together with a wire gate, but it didn't fit through properly and could potentially unclip itself with a bit of unplanned movement! eeek!
As you can imagine i didn't fancy descending off that, so made the decision to remove the wire gate and thread the rope through the actual broken chain loops, which wasn't ideal but was safe.
Thought best to remove it as i couldn't bear the thought of somebody descending off it unknowing of the potential danger.
As i only live five minutes away, thinking i might go back at some point in the next week and fix it properly, but want some advise on what the best way to fix it might be, or is it best to report it directly to somebody?
