Have been sorting through some of this Swedish Vikings back catalogue over the last few weeks

He's ...

Well, it's hard to define.

Guitarist, possible even metal guitarist, but experimental guitarist and composer, who rings some weird sounds out of (mostly) electric guitars, using lots of discordant scales, fiercely controlled harmonics, and strange facial expressions.

He's signed to Steve Vai's Record label, and does occasional guest spots at Steve Vai's gigs.

He's an advocate of the True Temperament guitar fretting system, and has got Steve Vai interested enough to have some of his guitars re-knecked that way...

So all very metal, rock, and weird - and then I heard this one today, and thought some of you lot might like to hear it.

This is "The Woman in Seat 27a"

and it's beautiful...

In reply to Dominion:

Something a bit more typical of the discordant guitar noise generation is this

And, for those guitarists who know their guitars are always out of tune as soon as they play a chord, here's Steve Vai discussing True Temperament
