Currently planning a trip away to the alps this winter (Dec/Jan). I find peoples blog posts are an awesome way to gain a little bit of beta and sometimes it throws up some hazards/challenges to think about that you haven't yet.
Wondering if anyone knows of any? The only one I can find is the excellent one on Nathan Murphys blog.
In reply to graham F: Nice blog Graham, I've added it to my feedly RSS reader!
Ash - any other good alpine blogs for conditions in Chamonix and other parts of the Alps that you subscribe to?
In reply to dutybooty: I don't subscribe to blogs as I'd have to have an account then, but I check out most of the guiding companies websites that get updated.
Also have the OTM's webpage bookmarked though it is all in French.

In reply to alps_p: Jeff Mercier's blog is one of the best I think. Lots of good climbing and some no-nonsense opinion from a guy who's a great climber as well as a policeman and PGHM team member. http://jeffmercier.blogspot.ch/
