Having spent ages preparing Mary stearns apple cake, I dropped it on our less than immaculate floor. Question is do I mention this little faux pask or keep quiet? As it will be eaten in a few hours

Pass off any detritus as 'nutmeg' (or depending on the size, a stray clove) lather it with custard and nobody will notice.

How quickly was it picked up? Less than 5 seconds and its been scientifically proved to be fine.
9 out of 10 cat owners agreed that they felt younger (although I may be confusing experiments).
