I was walking around Conistone and thought the area Beautiful and fancied climbing there but the Guide gives the impression Bull Scar has been trashed by outdoor groups, is this the case?

I went there with a mate for a couple of hours earlier in the year and its fine. Nice rock on the whole, didn't notice any obvious polish - a little wear perhaps. Slight routes but a pleasant place. Some good bits on the highest section.

In reply to sjc: Nice little crag. The limestone is rather compact. Loads of pro. Can be a midge free spot on a summer evening.
