I have just taken delivery of this pack and am very pleased:

http://store.berghaus.com/p/backpacks-rucksacks/expedition-light-80-rucksac...

I've not seen one in the flesh, and no reviews (just the odd product announcement), but took a gamble on it as the spec seemed too good to be true?

At first look it is perfect. I've had similar packs before and to be honest, found them to be a bit of a faff. This one is spot-on. I had designed my perfect expedition pack and was going to have one modified, but turns out Berghaus beat me to it!

Simple, uncluttered, hardly any features to speak of, and very light for it's size!

Just thought I'd mention it now in case anyone is looking for a similar pack.

Looks nice, but whoever does the Berghaus website needs sacking, it's horrible!

It looks even more "gingham" in the flesh, and there's no missing the fact it's made by Berghaus! Must admit, I like the look. The website is terrible though, I agree.

I put my Deuter Guide 45 in it as that was already packed...loads of room to spare!

The elastic around the lid is a nice touch, it stretches over the pack nicely.

The roll-top closure works really well with the lid removed.

None of the straps are too long (all seem just right).

Quick fit for size and it feels good with the weight in it.

I'll get some pics when it's stripped (haven't taken the back system out yet), and will also take it on my next training exercise to see how it carries.

Thanks for that. Looks like a decent pack. I could see me being in the market for one if only I could justify yet another pack.
I've long been a berghaus convert ever since my vulcan which is still going strong twenty plus years later.
