I was chatting to someone yesterday who earlier this year did 7marathons, 7continents in 7days.

Quite a few people seem to have done this these days, so long as you consider the Falkland Islands to be part of Antarctica.

How impressed are you by it?

In reply to Thickhead:

7 marathons in 7 days is impressive, certainly, although I would be more impressed by one marathon done in a really fast time. But the 7 continents thing is not. It means loads of money and loads of CO2 emissions that the planet can really do without, for what, sitting on planes? Not impressed by that.

So, Kipsang's recent Berlin effort, or Mo Farah's sub-2 hour time next year if he really does that, are vastly more impressive, as was Radcliffe's awesome WR time for women of a few years ago.

I agree.

Though TBF the particular guy I was chatting to did it all for charity. He raised substantially more (for charity) from 777 and writing a book etc than he would have from running a fast marathon.
