For the last 5 years my mountaineering club (Carn Dearg MC based in Dundee) has been trying to replace its old dilapidated hut in Glen Clova (within Cairngorms NP). The hut is part of the MC of S hut network and is therefore available to any club to use (or indeed other organisations or youth groups). The Bank of Scotland is running a community fund award which we are very close to winning if we could just get a few more votes. I'd be hugely grateful if you would consider voting for us by taking a minute or two to click on the link below or send a text.

The Carn Dearg Mountaineering Club Hut is almost finished - we have raised within 10% of the money needed (around £90,000)
-We could get £3000 from the Bank of Scotland Community Fund
-We've had 283 votes so far which places us in 2nd place (out of 4). The top 2 projects get £3000. Being 2nd with 283 suggests that even a few votes could still be important in keeping us in the prize zone, so your vote is worthwhile.
-Voting deadline is 1st Nov
-Vote online, by text or in a Dundee branch

Or
Text VOTE KFRD to 82332

Many thanks

DONE. When I lived in Fife I used this hut several times. Glen Clova area is where I really cut my teeth walking and climbing. Easy to get without a car at the time (train to Dundee/bus to Kirriemuir/Post bus to Glen Clova. Good luck with it.
