Does anyone know someone who has done this?

I can't find a single account on the net from anyone who has.

I realise the logistics of hauling by yourself, particularly on the traverses etc so I'm not interested in a discussion about hauling or getting kit to the base etc, i'm just genuinely interested to know if anyone has done this as a roped solo with a haul bag, rather than a free solo.

Also, i'd be interested to know if anyone British soloed half dome in any way?

Many thanks

Steve.

Hi Steve,
It was a few years ago now (2010), but in Yosemite I met Neil Chelton and I think he mentioned (aid) soloing the route earlier in the season... but it was a brief conversation long ago so could have remembered incorrectly.
There could be a few names who have done it.

In reply to Steve Wakeford: it's E5 6b. Leo Houlding Simo-climbed it in 2008 when he did free rider E6 6C and the NW face in a day with Sean Leary.

Think Steve Monks may have done it back in the day?
In reply to Steve Wakeford: Thanks very much. Steve Monks did do it.

Found this:

In reply to Steve Wakeford:

Coool! What page is Monksy's TR on?

I think the RNWF is rarely soloed because of the way all the logistics are stacked agains the climber. The approach, the traversing nature of the route etc etc.
