Looking for suggestions to do some winter walking/moutaineering in the Atlas mountains during February or March. I have previously been up toubkal but in summer conditions.

Is it possible to do some kind of traverse of several peaks and/or passes of the atlas mountains lasting 10 days to 2 weeks during the winter, with wild camps and huts/villages? Possibly starting further east at mgoun and finishing near toubkal.

Anyone has previous experience of the atlas mountains in winter apart for an ascent of toubkal?

I have done Toubkal in winter. Ok but boring. However... there are two peaks that can be accessed from the French refuge at 3007m called Ouanoukrim. Much more interesting.

From there, there looked to be a ridge running paralel with the valley (cant remember which direction without map) but looks to be some interesting stuff. I am thinking of heading back to explore.

There are lots of easy winter climbs to do. There is a Spanish guidebook published by Desnivel which has them all in.
