WARWICK UNIVERSITY, SENATE HOUSE.

In January 2013 seven members of the Alpine Club chartered a yacht in Argentina, pointed it South and sailed to Antarctica. The expedition's plan was to land in an unexplored glacial basin on the Antarctic Peninsular and ski towards the mountains. When we couldn't ski further we would walk and when we couldn't walk further we would climb. Our aim was to summit a number of previously unclimbed peaks. The expedition was a success.

Jamie Goodhart has chronicled the expedition with large powerful landscapes bringing to life the scale, emptiness and sometimes harsh beauty of the South. These are complimented by portraits on canvas of the striking animals which were encountered along the way and pictures of expedition life and activities.
