Hi all, just wondering if any of you out there have old aliens with solid trigger wires rather than wire rope swagged to a pin? I'm just wondering how robust they are? Obviously they will bend when you sit on them, but did they last better or worse than the wire versions?
In reply to mike kann:
I have a set with a mix of both, personally prefer the solid pin as the cams can rotate slightly with the wire.
I think the recent versions (Fixe) have the solid pin.
In reply to mike kann:
They bend in similar fashion to the pins that connect to the wire on camalots (although they are stiffer).
Personally I've never broken one but I guess it would be possible if the pin took a large impact/compression.
