Further to my recent post about roped solo leading, I'm now the proud owner of a Soloist! I'm happy about the set up/ ground anchors/ backing up etc.
My only slight lingering question is about rope diameter. The manufacturers recommend 10-11mm. Does anyone with experience of these things know what diameter works best; i.e will the device lock just as reliably with a 10mm rope as with, say, a 10.5? Also, will I be better off without a dry treated rope?
