How do I get to Kincardine Bridge from Glasgow? Kincardine to St Andrews I think I'll just stick to coast until Lower Largo unless I get any better suggestions.

This would get you to Falkirk, and then you'd have to wiggle around on roads for a few miles to the bridge.

I only do that when they've gritted the roads. Then it's into it's straw filled cardboard box a la Blue Peter hedgehog for the Winter.

Tortoise = cardboard boxes for winter

In reply to Humphrey Jungle: Recently rode from Glasgow through to Alloa. Went out via Lennoxtown and over the Crow Rd. From there, down the Carron Valley. At Carron Hotel, slant left which takes you through to Bannockburn. Once at the other side of Stirling, pick up the NCR to Alloa. From there you can go round Clackmannan to Kincardine village. Carron Valley road surface leaves a lot to be desired. As an alternative, you could go through Fintry and over to Kippen then pick up A811(?) to Stirling.
