What are the chances that Ramshaw will be dry tmw?

The weather may be dry, but that doesn't mean the rock will be. Being East facing it gets neither much sun or wind at this time of year. It tends to stay green for a while after rain in Autumn & Winter. Also, it's that kind of fine grained grit that can be a bit fragile when wet.

Take a look by all means, you'll probably find a few dry lines but I wouldn't expect great things. If it's a no go you can always decamp to Hen Cloud or The Roaches which will be in the sun and wind.

It will be dry later as the Flash Bar webcam shows sunshine. Ramshaw is a much better cold months venue than people realise. Ive climbed there in winter many a time and wouldnt have considered it but I had to check stuff for the guide.

As the posters above have said be careful after rain the rock is more fragile, never climb on damp rock in that area as it trashes the surface (particularly at Newstones) and take extra care to keep your shoes clean (take a rag).
