I'm amazed no one started a thread about the excellent 'Don't panic - the truth about population' programme, where Professor Hans Rosling the statistician has finally made it onto main stream telly... nice and upbeat and cheery about the future, as well as entertaining...
He points out some good news but is far too willing to ignore well known bad news e.g. he lauds China's limiting of the rate of its population growth but ignores its horrendous record of female infancticide that has contributed to it.
