If you’re heading up to Kendal Mountain Festival this weekend Wild Country would like to push you in the direction of a couple of new movies that we’ve made in partnership with the amazing Hotaches team.
Both films feature the impressive and irrepressible duo of Tom Randall and Pete Whittaker (the Wideboyz) whose amazing exploits two years ago on Century Crack earned their previous movie the ‘People's Choice’ at Kendal 2012. This year the movies may be a bit shorter but their exploits are equally epic, funny, dramatic and hardcore, and well worth seeking out!!
Wideboyzski –This short film sees ‘the Wideboyz’ up to their offwidthing tricks but somewhat outside their comfort zone in the chalk (and seemingly gear free) sandstone cracks of Poland and the Czech republic.

Gritboyz – More like ‘home ground’, Tom and Pete show off their prowess on the grit at an epic day at Wimberry. Tom grabs the second ascent of an E9 while Pete somehow gurns his way up the first ascent of the incredible ‘Baron Greenback’ E9/10 7a.
