Question about nuts/rocks and slings

To keep the protection from walking I was thinking of attaching short slings to passive protection (like nuts) and then a carabiner to the sling. Rather then a carabiner directly in the wire loop of the protection.

I was thinking of just girth-hitching a sewn sling on the end but I figure that would not hold as well as say a sling you tied yourself.

Any thoughts or alternatives to lengthening passive protection like that?

In reply to greenskin3000: Stick to using a quickdraw, they do a good job. Have a selection of different length 'draws.

There may be a certain circumstance when a sling may be wise, if the krab would be on an edge. The video below is useful.
