Why the Dutch are so hard. And like the man says "respect the echelon skills"
Magic little vid and why you should drag yourself out. Training like this wins you races.

Yikes! I'd have stayed in bed. At least we don't get the same unremitting crosswinds here in the north of England because we have hills and woods to break it up.

Me too. We often get conditions like that when the Mistral is blowing hard. Love getting into an echelon with the boys on days like that.

Ive just returned to the N.E. from a 3 day trip to North Holland. Massive cycling cultural differences to us Geordies.
I didnt spot any cyclists on roads out side of the pedestrian city. No cycle helmets. No hills so no mountain bikes. Neither did I see any roadies. There was however thousands even swarms of commuter cyclists not put off by ice and rain. Lack of helmets probably due to slow speed and dedicated paths.
Deffo going back for a holiday with the missus as she dont' like hills.

"Help mein boot!"

Chortle.
In reply to Enty:

That is brilliant! Watching that guy trying to get back on his bike was hilarious. Thanks for sharing.
