I found this guys youtube channel a couple of months ago. He's a trapper who spends his time living in a cabin in the middle of nowhere in Canada. Spends his time hunting, fishing, trapping and cooking meals for his dog.

Living my dream basically. I'm addicted!

Where is he based (no speakers on my work pc)? I spend a few weeks a year up north, can't say it would be my dream.

Not sure exactly. He does mention his home town in one of the comments, but I can't find it... Will let you know if I do.

When I say "dream" I mean the living in a cabin in the middle of nowhere bit, although I do understand that I would find it a lot less enjoyable if I actually had to do it

In reply to davidbeynon: I was snowed in alone in our mountain hut a couple of years back, It was not what I thought it would be after only a few days.

I do go away on my own a lot , 1 or 2 weeks, but tend to move around, being stuck in one place is tougher .

Just had a look. That's a born and bred Newfie accent, so prob somewhere over there or Labrador maybe.
