Afternoon all,

Can anyone recommend a small and cheap digital camera that is good for landscape photography?

Looking at around the £100 mark as even though I would love to spend more, there is a long list of climbing gear I also want to buy.

Cheers,

AT

For that price Id suggest a used canon Ixus 115 HS from Amazon or similar, Ive had one for a while now and it takes decent pics for a compact camera.

Well, I'm not really up with latest compacts on the market, but you have two options really. Buy a new fairly cheap camera which will, at that price, have limited potential or buy a 2nd hand DSLR which will have a lot more. Rather depends if you are buying it to take snaps of landscapes or whether you are interested in the photography side of it as well.

I asked a reasonably similar question on here last week:

and ended up ignoring most of the replies and getting a Canon Powershot SX240 HS:

the canon certainly looks better spec than the canon ixus, and would be my preference if your budget can stretch a little more
