Pain in tricep

Hi, I have a pain in the back of my upper arm (I assume this is my tricep) that means I can't do a pull up. It is in a large area towards the shoulder, and not near the elbow.

It has no impact on dead hanging from a campus board, just if I pull up.

The only thing I have changed in my training is adding press ups to my warm up. But I can still press up fine with no pain.

Any clues? Thanks.

For diagnostic purposes, are you still able to knock one off?

Correct the tricep is at the back of the arm but why would that cause problems for pull ups

Perfect. Warm. 4 new pitches climbed.

In case it is important, I also get a pain in the triceps in the same arm if I clasp hands behind my back.

In reply to David Coley: Obviously your injury hasn't hampered your climbing that much!

Doesn't sound like triceps to me.

Any idea what you did to cause it? Has the physio given you guidance on how to manage the damage?
